Development work

Here i have tried to design a simplistic beautiful first page for my zine. I done two versions, one with an image and one with out, i dont no if to keep it yet, i may change it all together.

Crimbo card.

So here i have tried to design an eye-candy christmas card with narrative. The blurred image is actually a picture of a family together in a living room. I then added a small sentence that would contrast the image. I added shapes of colour to give it flavour and to make it more eye-candy to the audience, i then done variables just changing the coloured shapes.

Here i was experimenting with materials such as tracing paper, brown paper and accetate.

Experimental work

I produced a mixed media piece of work, part of it inspired by Carson. After making my piece i scanned different versions of it, e.g scaled down, negative and blown up ect...  these designs are clearly not finished, just early experimentation.

Hoarding

Hoarding is basically a phsychological disorder where a person cannot throw away any items. In some cases a person will purchase an item when not even needed! I wont carry on as i could write an essay about hoarding, not that i would if asked.

Tomato

I love tomato's work, ive picked out particular work that i think will help alot, its double sided spread sheets of zines. The first two look really simple but in my opinion work really well, because of the huge image on the pages, it draws your attention straight away. they also have the consistency of the art work surrounding the pages e.g the page numbering, which i think works. 

ZINE

After thinking about what to base my zine on, not wanting to waste time thinking of loads of other things, i decided to base it on something i can relate to in some ways. The topic i have chosen is "hoarding", what i didnt no before is there are more then one type of hoarding, thankfuly im not as bad as some lunatics.
